Our average Iris bloom season runs from about April 1st to July 1st, with up to two weeks variation either way due to weather. Whenever possible, it is preferable to see Irises in bloom before making final selections. Our Iris dislplay garden is open to visitors for self-guided tours daily during daylight hours throughout bloom season. However, if you are visiting from a distance, or are interested in a specific type of iris, it is best to E-mail, call, or fax to check on bloom, or make an appointment. (Evenings, after dark (Pacific Time) are the best time to reach us near a phone.) Irises are organized by type and planted alphabetically so that you can easily locate specific irises. You will find varieties in the field that are not in our catalog. Some are new varieties being evaluated; others we are building stock for future years.
The Orchid greenhouse is not open for self-guided tours like the Iris garden. Terry is usually happy to show you around the greenhouse if he is available, however. It is best to call ahead to be sure.
